sunday celebration

when do you primarily meet?
We meet as a church every week at 10am at the Neutral Bay Primary School Hall.
why meet up so regularly?
We believe there is much to be gained from regular corporate meetings. Relationships can be developed and you can be encouraged, supported and grown in your journey with God by those around you. Meeting regulary grows the sense of community which is at the heart of the Christian Church. The writer of Hebrews says “let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10.24-25 (NIV)
what can I expect when I come?
At the Lighthouse Christian Church, we believe that God wants to have a genuine and powerful relationship with everyone, including you. That is why we make being passionate, contemporary and relevant a priority.
prayer
We strongly believe that prayer is the powerhouse of church and everything we do as Christians. Every Sunday at 9:20am we have a time of prayer to commit what we are doing as a church to God. After the prayer meeting there is time to grab a real coffee and meet others from the church before the service starts.
the music
We begin the service with about 30 minutes of powerful praise and worship. Our band consists of drums, guitars, keyboard and vocals playing contemporary worship songs. The words are projected onto our video screen so that everyone can worship together. Everyone is encouraged to participate as they feel comfortable whether it be sing, dance, clap, or raise their hands as we collectively lift up the name of Jesus.
the message
After some announcements and house keeping, Ps Paul Zanardo or one of the other great speakers will speak to us from God’s word, the Bible, for about 30 minutes in a powerful and engaging way. Our goal is to challenge and encourage everyone present to live life to the full in the freedom that Jesus Christ gives.
after the meeting
This is where we really begin to let our hair down. With great real coffee, great friends and loads of laughs, the “church” experience continues. Church is not about just listening to one person speak, but participating in the community that is church. After the morning service there is often an informal lunch organised at one of the local cafes or restaurants to continue building the friendships and conversations.
how do I get there?
Please visit our how to get there page to view a map of our sunday celebration.
how can I find out more?
